My First LUA /NUA Champion

On June 26, 2010 Lila became a UKC Champion!!!!! Recently the UKC changed the Dalmatian standard to address a major health problem in our breed. That problem is deafness. It has long been known that the number of deaf and unilaterally deaf puppies born can be reduced by a few simple breeding practices. Don't breed blue eyes or unilateral deaf dogs and do on occasion breed patched dogs. As you can see Lila has an ear patch and I do believe she is the first dog with a patch to finish her championship since the new standard revision.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.....

It doesn't seem possible that the Topper - Gambit puppies are a year old already. Lila had a very nice day beginning with a broiled boneless, skinless chicken breast for breakfast. Then she spent a good part of the day playing with her new wabba toy. She shares very nicely so her best friend Bizzi had a lot of fun too! She also managed to dig a few holes so you will see her nose is very dirty. Here are some pictures of Lila, Daffodil and Magnolia.
